Carved door, Willow restaurant Material: Black walnut Size: 80”x 36”x 1 3/8” I was asked to make a front door with the name of the restaurant "Willow" in copper lettering (the incised lettering, done on a CNC router, later had copper letters inlaid). To liven up the surface, I suggested a simple carved texture, which I made suggestive of the leaves of a willow tree gently blowing in a breeze.
